How to forward SMS to Telegram?

Start the Bot

Tap the Start button at the bottom of the chat. The bot will send you a welcome message with your unique Chat ID.
Copy Your Chat ID

Copy the Chat ID number that the bot sends you. It will look something like this:

Add to SMS Forwarder
Add to SMS Forwarder
Open SMS Forwarder app, add a new Telegram destination, and paste your Chat ID. That's it!
Forward to a Group
Want to receive SMS messages in a Telegram group? Here's how:
- Create a new Telegram group or open an existing one
- Add @smsforwarderapp_bot to the group
- Send /chatid command in the group
- Copy the group's Chat ID (it will start with a minus sign, e.g., -123456789)
- Use this Chat ID in SMS Forwarder app
Troubleshooting
Bot doesn't respond
Make sure you tapped the Start button. If you already started the bot before, send /start command again to get your Chat ID.
Messages not arriving
Verify that you copied the Chat ID correctly, including any minus sign for group chats. Also ensure the Shortcuts automation is properly configured.
Group Chat ID not working
Make sure the bot has permission to read messages in the group. Try removing and re-adding the bot to the group.
